In the beginning of Toy Story, Woody coordinates a reconnaissance mission around his owner Andy's birthday party in the days before Andy's family move to their new house in order to find out what Andy's new toys are and to make sure that none of them are good enough to replace him as Andy's favorite toy. To his dismay, Andy receives a new action figure in the form of space ranger Buzz Lightyear, whose impressive features soon see Buzz replacing Woody as Andy's favorite toy. As the former de facto leader of Andy's toys, Woody is disappointed and resentful at his replacement. Out of jealousy, Woody tricks Buzz into rescuing a toy trapped behind Andy's desk and uses RC the remote controlled car to push him behind the desk. Unfortunately, the plan backfires and Buzz is knocked out of the window. After RC rats him out about Buzz all the toys turn on him, but before he is punished, Woody is taken with Andy to the space-themed Pizza Planet restaurant. While Andy's mother refuels the car at a gas station, Woody ponders how he can return to Andy's room alone. Sheriff Woody (Picture 2). Sheriff Woody cartoon images gallery 2. "Andy's Room Woody (aka Toy Story Collection Woody) serves as the most advanced and accurate Woody toy ever created. In nearly every way, this toy is an exact match to Woody as he is seen in the Toy Story Films. Pixar and Thinkway Toys are to be commended for their attention to detail on this product. However, it is still not without its flaws. Woody's head and face are the first and most notable improvements over past Woody toys. Previous Woody dolls have featured generic "blank" faces that don't inspire any sense of life. The eyes were lifeless and the grins were generic. This new Woody, however, has a much better expression that gives the toy a sense of life and personality. It's a shame to see that, as he is meant to be a close replica, he's not making the expression of the toy in the movies, but that's a minor nitpick. Of special note is that this is the only Woody I've seen to include highlights in the hair. Though Woody has them in the films, I've never seen a toy to include these highlights. It really goes to show that the producers were looking to create an extremely accurate likeness of our favorite Sheriff and the final result is stunning. The rest of the toy is also extremely accurate. Woody's body shape is significantly more accurate than past toys and his arms and legs are wonderfully floppy, just like the toy in the film. The details are amazing, right down to the spurs on his boots. The battery compartment is also located in a more discrete location, being hidden under the vest. Sheriff Woody (Picture 2).
